Why we do this


In 1970, George Akerlof wrote a paper about low quality used cars often referred to as "Lemons". The key issue was the sellers of used cars often had more information than the buyers. As a result, buyers often did not know they had purchased a "lemon" until after they had bought it.

For nearly five years we worked with over a thousand advertisers where we saw, first hand, the challenge advertisers faced when the platforms, vendors, and agencies had more information than was often not shared.
